I was excited to wear my new wedges today but after wearing them the entire day my feet are covered in blisters :( ! At least they looked cute - The price we pay for fashion, hey! I also wore this summer 3/4 jumper/sweater which was just the perfect addition over a plain top and wasn't too hot in this heat. Guess how much I got it for....$9.95 :)

I Received the Versatile Blogger Award!

Morning lovelies! Pam over at Yes it is, Kevin (Sweetest girl ever! Check out her blog she has amazing style and does the best YouTube videos ! ) nominated me for the Versatile Blogger award which I also received back here too!

Part of the award is to share 7 random facts about myself! I've tried to think of 7 new ones from the ones I posted back in 2011. I hope you find them interesting!!!

1. I had to sit my drivers test 3 times before I passed! Apparently I failed to completely stop at the Stop Sign (I hadn't even got my car out the car park when he told me to turn around lol!) and the other one, well, the guy was just a complete idiot.

2. My boyfriend and I have been together nearly 5 years! We went to the same primary school, high school, lived the streets next to each other, and our families are all Scottish. It's funny how it all worked out!

3. I love travelling and experiencing new things! I've so far travelled to Los Angeles, New York, Scotland x 5 times, London x twice, Paris, Penang-Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur x twice, Phuket-Thailand x lots and lots of times, Bali-Indonesia x lots and lots, Singapore x 3 times, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne! I'm a big believer in travelling outside your own country - I think it really makes you more rounded and appreciative of what you have back home! We hope to continue our travels this year and beyond!

4. I can do the splits! When I was younger I tried dancing for a bit and the teacher would push us down with a pole on our back into a split. I can still do them to this day.

5. I wear contacts every single day! When I was in year 7 my eyes got tested and the optometrist recommended I got glasses just for the classroom. My eyes have been dependent since and I now rely on my contacts every day. I hope to get the Lasik surgery in the near future.

6. I am really scared of Mice. My Mum has always been scared of them and she passed it onto me when I was younger. Whenever I am in the pet store I always walk really fast and with my head down when I have to walk past the mouse bit. So gross just thinking about them makes me cringe!!

7. When I was 13 I was OBSESSED with Enrique Iglesias! My friend and I went and saw him in concert to let him sing 'Hero' to us! We had really good seats up the front and Anna Kournikova walked past us and stood next to us for a bit! All I remember was she had really long amazing blonde hair and wasn't as tall as she looks on TV and in magazines! We were totally star struck!

LETS TALK FACE WASHES & SCRUBS!

I always have to switch up my face cleansers & scrubs because after a considerable amount of time of using them my skin seems to get used to the formula and doesn't show the glowing results like it did at the start. Does this happen to anyone else...? Or is it just me ?! I feel like the same goes for hair products as well...maybe its just because I get bored of them too.

Anyway, I was in Priceline as per usual about a week ago and needed to get a new face scrub and cleanser because 1. I had ran out of my Neutrogena face scrub and 2. My face cleanser at the time (The Nivea Daily Essentials, Review below) was just plain useless.

I was having some breakouts around my chin and seemed to be getting quite a lot of blackheads (I know, ew) around my nose so I thought I would try Clean & Clear again because it always cleared my skin when I was younger. I spotted their Advantage Blackhead Clearing Scrub which I used to use ALL THE TIME and decided to get the Morning Burst Cleanser too.

So Here Are The Reviews:

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser

The reason I got this was because the formula looked nice with the bursting beads in the packaging and I really believed from this that it would be a brilliant wake me up cleanser. I can't describe the smell but...it reminds me of cleaning products! I don't know what it is...it just isn't very refreshing. It does do a good job however taking off makeup.

The other downfall is that the product literally comes out a million miles an hour! As you can see from the photo, that is how much I have used in just under 1 week. No joke! I guess they want this so I'll have to buy another one in a few weeks time. That won't be happening though. Overall, I'm a big person on how something smells and feels and when I apply this I feel like it is stripping my skin (even though it doesn't sting or anything) but just the smell makes me feel like I'm applying detergent to my face!

Clean & Clear Advantage Blackhead Clearing Scrub

This product was the reason why I am doing this post on face washes/scrubs. I actually first tried this scrub about 6-7 years ago when I was a teenager and was getting the usual breakouts around my chin. This product, no joke, is amazing. I re-purchased this product just under a week ago because at the time I was getting a lot of spots on my chin and around my nose as I said at the start. They were sore and they just didn't seem to be going away. However, I can now honestly say, all spots have disappeared and my skin looks so much better.

The packaging says that there is a "special cleansing ingredient that is deposited into the skin, working deep down to clear pores". The formula has done exactly that. My nose is completely blackhead free and just feels and looks so much better. I have been using this every day like it says and it hasn't dried out my skin in the least (and I have really sensitive skin). The product also feels really great on my skin and you know as soon as you start using the product that its working its magic straight away. HIGHLY recommend!

Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash

Okay, so this product definitely isn't a favourite. I'm all about saving time and I want a product that is going to remove majority of my makeup whilst cleansing my face. Usually I'll use a face wipe before I hop into the shower at the end of the day to get majority of my eye and face makeup off. I'll then get into the shower and use my face wash to take off the remaining traces and really cleanse my face.

I have never really liked Nivea products, they all have that distinct smell and none have really stood out to me throughout the years. The reason I bought this was because it looked calming to my skin and the fact it was especially for Dry and Sensitive Skin, it gave me reassurance that it wouldn't irritate me. However, all in all, this product is just so weak. I would get out the shower and would use a face wipe to make sure I had no left over traces and would see a swipe of makeup. So annoying! Also, at the time I was using this, I was getting the spots on my chin and this was doing nothing to help combat them or 'purify my skin' like it states.

However, If you look at the photo, I've pretty much used all of it. That's because I just put up with it until I thought enough is enough and got the Clean & Clear ones! Overall: Don't recommend!

Have any of you tried any of these and what are your thoughts? Do you have any recommendations for any other drugstore type face cleansers/scrubs? Please tell!!

Blueberry & Raspberry Lemon Drop Scones & NOTD!

If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen me post about the most delicious scones that I baked after seeing Tiffany's post over at I am Styleish. Seriously, BEST SCONES EVER!

If you know me, I hardly cook. I'm pretty lucky that I have a boyfriend who actually enjoys cooking (and is extremely good at it!) so there has never been any reason for me to be in the kitchen. I can follow a recipe no problem, and if I put my mind to it then I can cook a pretty decent meal, but most of the time I just get frustrated with it and end up causing a lot of mess - using every pot and pan in the house haha! I do, however, occasionally like baking and I had an urge for it the other day when I came home from uni. I had a bit of a tough day and baking is a bit of a stress reliever for me, like it is for many others.

It honestly was the easiest recipe ever! If I can do it...trust me so can you!

Mixing the wet ingredients with the dry. I followed Tiffany's instructions and used light natural yoghurt instead of Lemon Yoghurt (because I didn't have it) and to also cut down on the butter.

Mixing it all together! The recipe calls for just blueberries but I had a mixed bag of both berries so I thought more the merrier!

SO YUMMY! I went a bit OTT on the lemon glaze but it made it even yummier! These scones would have to be so incredibly light and healthy. I've definitely bookmarked the recipe for next time!

NOTD (Nails of the Day)

A bit random adding my new nail colour to this post but oh well - thought you might like to see! I received this nail polish in one of my Secret Santa gifts, from the best Secret Santa ever (Thanks Melinda!) I hadn't tried this colour before but I knew from looking at the bottle that I would love it. You can't see clearly from the photos but it has a bit of a shimmery glaze to it - so pretty!

The colour is OPI: "PERU-B-RUBY"

Today was the start of Summer School (classes during Summer holiday) so it was a day that called for comfy flats whilst walking around campus. I later saw my Mum today and she said I looked very 'bright' with my turquoise nail polish and bright pink jeans haha. I can't get enough of these bright jeans, love them!

This weekend I had a bit of a haul at Priceline which is the UK equivalent of Boots or Superdrug. Absolutely love that store...I share my love of Priceline through my latest YouTube video which you can watch below or directly on my YouTube channel along with the products I purchased and love. I also talk about my favourite tanning products so definitely check it out if you are wondering how I stay so tanned! Shhh...it's a secret!!!

My 2012 Goals

HELLO! Long time no speak!

Well Christmas has officially been done and dusted and we are moving onto the new year. I hope you all had a lovely day, spending time with family and friends, getting loads of nice presents, and eating lots of yumminess. I did exactly all of that, and quite frankly...I'm still eating all the yumminess around me! Christmas time is so hard to be good isn't it?! I have no self control, if we have chocolate or lollies in the house...I will eat them. That is why I do not buy any junk food in our house, if my boyfriend wants chocolate biscuits then I ask him to hide them, because like I said...I will eat them! No self control...

Anyway! I got the most amazing Christmas presents. I was so shocked at the amount my parents and boyfriends parents bought me...so so lucky and grateful. I wasn't expecting much since this was the first year I was out of home living in my own place, now officially a 'grown up'.

So we are officially coming into the new year and I always think its a great idea to write down goals of things you want to achieve throughout the year. I'm quite excited for what 2012 will bring - I will officially graduate. FINALLY is all I can say!

2010 brought many exciting things...

- Visited the US for the first time.

- Turned 21.

- My boyfriend and myself bought our first house together.

- We bought 2 amazing little girls, Ava & Minnie. We love them so much.

- I got an invitation to do my Honours at university.

- My boyfriend received an amazing promotion at work, he is the youngest person in his position in the whole company! So proud of him.

- I lost 6 kgs!

So my goals for 2012 are ~

- Officially reach my goal weight. I have been doing Weight Watchers for a few months now but this last month I have fluttered about a bit with my exercise. I have maintained my weight perfectly but just can't seem to lose those lost few kilos. 2012 is the year I will be the lightest I have been in a long time! No excuses, I have officially put this on my blog so I have to achieve it lol!

- I will work my butt of at university. This coming semester I will be doing 2 classes during the Summer holidays and then 5 classes in my last semester at university. It is going to be a tough/stressful last 6 months at university, but I know if I put my mind to it I will do it.

- I will stop stressing the small stuff! I am a total worrier and stress head. I always want to please people and I care what people think of me. But in 2012 this will be out the window, WHO CARES is my new motto, this is my life.

- Live each day like its my last because you never know what might happen.

- HOPEFULLY, MAYBE, travel to a new country. We are thinking Hong Kong, I've always wanted to visit there.

- Continue working practically full time hours while I am studying. It can be done and I will do it...It will pay off, it will pay off!

- Hopefully start the processes of my business idea. We will see, it all depends on certain things!

- Last but not least, get into some sort of blog schedule. Lets aim for 3-4 posts a week!

So there we are! You all have to keep me to my goals since I have posted them on here :) TELL ME, what are your goals for 2012?

My Makeup Routine

I was recently asked to share what makeup I use on my YouTube channel so here they are!

Like I said in the video I made, when it comes to makeup I pretty much stick with the same items once I've found a goodie. If you have been reading my blog from the start, one of my very first posts was on my 5 Makeup Essentials , a year and a bit on and the products are pretty much still the same! I think us girls find it so hard to find the perfect foundation or concealer, the basic items we have in our makeup kits. There are so many colour choices and formulas out there, and once you've found that perfect brand and shade you want to stick with it because it has took you so long to find one that does the job.

The foundation to any makeup look. I swear by these Sigma makeup brushes. I know every one is sick of hearing about them, but they are popular because they do the job at a very reasonable price! I bought these after hearing about them numerous time on YouTube and they really are as good as MAC but at a much more affordable price. Plus they come in pink which is always a good thing :)

For Foundation I have been using MUFE HD Foundation in #155 for the longest time! It gives you that camera-ready look and I love the coverage it gives. Only downside is the price $$. It is really expensive to buy here (in Australia) so occasionally for day makeup I will switch it up and use the Rimmel Renew & Lift Foundation in #300 Sand.

Concealers: Again, I have been using these three for years. If I need extra coverage I will apply the MAC Select Moisture Cover Concealer in NW30 and then the YSL Touche Eclat #2 on top which just really brightens that eye area. For blemishes I will dab the MAC Studio Finish Concealer (cannot tell you the # because it has rubbed off!! Sorry!) around the blemish and never directly on it. By doing this it kinda camouflages the shadow.

Powder: I recently started using this when my MUFE HD Microfinish Powder ran out. It was new on the market and so I decided to try it. I bought it in #220 and so far so good however I much prefer my MUFE HD one, I can't wait till it arrives in the post!

Mascara: Without a doubt, Covergirl Lash Blast! Best cheapie mascara on the market. I have tried numerous expensive/designer type mascaras and nothing compares. It does exactly what it is designed to do and never clumps!

Eyelash Curler: I've had this Shu Uemuru curler for years and again it does exactly what it is meant to do. I haven't really tried many other ones so I couldn't give you an exact review on the quality. All I can say is that it has lasted for many years!

Bronzer: Smashbox in Suntan Matte. AMAZING! Perfect matte bronzer without all the shimmery bits!

Blush: I have been using Nars in Deep Throat for ages but recently bought the Maybelline Fit Me range of Blush in Medium Pink and it is working great as a combination. I love how the Maybelline one contains none of the shimmer, it's a perfect blush for during the day.

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I forgot to mention this product in my video, but I use it as a base for my eyeshadow every day. The colour is the exact same as my skin tone and it really makes my eyeshadow stay on for longer, especially when the hotter months are around!

I picked these up recently and have been using them quite a lot. They are the Maybelline Eyestudio palletes in Pink Persuasion and Give Me Gold. I have many different MAC shadows but decided to give these a try and I really like the combinations plus the quality of them is really good.

Liquid Eyeliner: I recently bought this Models Prefer eyeliner after wanting a change from my usual MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. I've always preferred liquid eyeliner as I just find it so much easier to apply, especially when you wing it out at the edges of your eye. This was insanely cheap, and does a very good job. I got it in the blackest of blacks #JetBlack

If you saw my latest YouTube video then you would of already seen the latest pieces to my jewellery collection, here are the better images I promised! For me, jewellery makes me happy. I have never been a girl who only wears the 'real' stuff even though I was brought up in a household where my mum only wears her real gold and diamonds. I just loved how costume jewellery could easily transform an outfit for next to nothing. I loved how a single piece could 'make' the entire outfit. I get bored of things easily, and costume jewellery fits me perfectly because if I fall out of love with it, then it's not a huge waste. Don't get me wrong, I do love the real stuff and would never turn down a real pair of diamond earrings, but for versatility and being able to add an extra dimension into my outfits, for me costume jewellery is the way to go.

This is my favourite piece. Like I said in the video, I would totally wear this during the day. There is absolutely no need to wait for that 'special occassion' to bring out the bling. If it makes you happy and you want to wear it, then wear it! Just make it the focus of your entire outfit and play down everything else.

Even though this is quite a statement piece, it is one of my more casual ones. I pretty much can wear it with everything and love how it can work both ways, dressing an outfit up or dressing it down a little.

You all would of seen this in my latest outfit post! It is beautiful in real life, very OTT!

Good morning! Yesterday started off like it was going to be a cloudy & rainy Spring day but as always the sun decided to come out and I was so happy because I have been wanting to wear these Forever New shorts for the longest time. I can't even remember when I got them, it must of been at least a few months ago but it has never warmed up enough for me to wear them. Yesterday was an exception!

I paired it with a faux-fur vest and the most comfiest wedges ever for a fun Spring look. To top it off I wore some new jewellery I bought recently, talk about a statement necklace! Might be too much for some, not for me :)

I thought I would do an updated version because I have totally stopped using the cork board, that silly thing kept falling down as I bought more necklaces and since moving into a new home I wanted a more grown up version.

Ta-da!! This is my new way of hanging my necklaces. It may not be the fanciest/prettiest technique but I honestly just needed something that could withstand the weight of my growing collection. I was in Bunnings with my boyfriend one weekend and spotted these metal hooks and I instantly knew they would be perfect for my necklace collection.

I'm still using the jewellery tree and the jewellery box I had shown in my previous post

But I've started using a little crystal plate and extra jewellery stand to place more delicate things and items I use most often.

So there we go! Like I said, not the fanciest way to organise but it definitely has helped me keep my jewellery organised. I love having all my necklaces there in my closet near all my clothes, it makes getting ready so easy and fun!

A Little Ramble + September Favourites!

Hello to my new followers!!! I hope you enjoyed my first video on the YouTube bandwagon! I loved making it, so much fun! Thanks so much to those that commented/subscribed :)

Today I had to get up early (Sunday) to take the little one to puppy school. Some of you may have saw my little rant I had on Twitter regarding the dog trainer. If not, I'll tell you the story. So basically we get to puppy school and Ava has graduated into the basic class from the puppy class. So the first trick the trainer wants all the dogs in Ava's class to do is 'Puppy Pushups'. I knew as soon as he said that it meant she would have to drop to the floor, which she doesn't do.

If you haven't seen any pictures of Ava, she is a 6 month old Pomeranian weighing 1.8kgs. Her body is literally 4-5 inches from the floor, she is tiny. I went ahead and never said anything, knowing Ava would just sit there and drop her head because she can't 'drop' to the floor, she basically is at the floor standing! The trainer then comes round and I say to him jokingly, "Ava won't drop, she doesn't like getting her fur wet" and he looked at me in disgust and said "She will, that's no excuse, keep trying". Yep so I kept trying, still nothing.

He then stops the class and looks directly at me and says "When people say to me "My dog won't drop because she doesn't like wet grass, I tell them, Your dog is a princess, and you have made her like that. It's you that doesn't want her to get her hair wet."

I looked at him like :O !! He was a total little dog hater. Can he not see that she cannot realistically drop to the floor, there is no need for her to do that.

Yes, I admit, Ava is spoilt and we do treat her like a little princess but this guy was just so out of line! We have been training her to do this since she was 10 weeks old. Gosh, anyway, You know when someone says something out of line to you and you just stand there in shock then go home and be like, "Uh, I should have said that to him!" Yeah that was me all day! Ha!

Okay so enough of my little story. If you have got to this point, wow thanks! I know I ramble :)

Today I made Sugar Cookies (Weight Watcher approved, of course! And only 122 Calories :) ) for my study group at uni.

And I had time to make an early September Favourites video!!!

I've just got back from the shops and I had to share these total bargain ballet flats with you guys that are so cute (well I think they are!).

So I was waiting for my hair appointment and decided to pop into Kmart (I never shop in there, but I'll be checking back now!) for a little browse...and look what I came out with...

The beads aren't missing from these ones they are just bunched together

TOTAL = $40 !!!

My favourites are definitely the first ones :) Sure I admit they are not the best quality but they can't go wrong for 40 bucks. I wear my Tory Burch Reva's to death around uni and when I am on my feet all day so I'm sure these will do me a turn :)

I am a Pisces. I never like to believe in star signs but everything they say about mine, is very very true. I am sensitive, a perfectionist, very ambitious and at times shy.
I am really scared of birds or anything that 'flaps' in general! I have been swooped way too many times by birds and chased by emu's too. I swear they hunt me down when I am outside and can sense I am scared!
I have been an Aunty since I was 8 years old! I have 2 nephews and a niece who are my life. I am their Aunty Paulie or Paulie for short :)
I am OBSESSED with cereal! It is common for me to eat it for lunch and dinner if I can't be bothered to cook...lol.
I am the first Australian in my family (before my nephews and niece were born). My Mum, Dad and Sister were all born in Scotland which I love and have visited many times! Even my Boyfriend was born there...completely wasn't intentional!
I have the WORST sweet tooth! If I could eat chocolate and lollies everyday without putting on weight I so would!
When I was younger I wanted to play netball for Australia. I matured very young when I was in Primary School and was practically the height I am now (5'6) at 11, no joke. I was always taller than everyone in my class and then suddenly at 14/15 everyone grew taller than me! I used to get really upset about it, even though 5'6 isn't short it is when your a defender in a netball team! I have since got over it and am happy with my height.

Los Angeles Adventures!

Oh how I loved L.A! California was everything and more I thought it would be. We visited for around 9 days starting Tuesday 8th Feb and we are spending the remainder in NYC! I'm currently sitting with 2 jumpers on and my trench coat because it is currently -6 degrees celsius right now....so freezing cold. We have had an amazing time in both states, they are both so different. I'll right a blog post on NYC when we return..but first up L.A!

While we were visiting Los Angeles we had the most amazing weather. It was so much like the winters we experience back home, very mild with very little rain. We hired a car while we were there and it was so nerve wracking coming off at least 20 hours of flying to driving on the complete opposite side of the road! I left that to the boyfriend because I seriously would of made us crash! This is a must if you're staying in L.A for more than a few days. We stayed at the Sofitel on Beverly Blvd, cannot seriously say anymore good things about this hotel! The staff were so nice and the room was lovely, plus it was in a great location for us.

We went everywhere in that little car, drove to Desert Hills Outlets, which end up taking us at least 2 hours getting there because of traffic and the fact we kept getting lost! But at least we had the most scenic route. Seriously go here if your ever visiting, they have massive deals on really great stuff. My boyfriend got at least 6 Burberry items for just over $500 and that included a $1800 original priced Burberry trench coat!

Of course we went to Disneyland, we were so excited!

We went to Universal Studio's...A must see!

Santa Monica Beach...So beautiful.

Went to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for the Flea Market!

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Favourite Breakfast Place: Joan's on Third

Also went to Toast (get the banana choc-chip pancakes!!!) and Urth Caffe (Paparazzi were running around while we were there!)

Hi lovelies! Just a short post but I just wanted to share a really great Etsy shop I found last week! It's called HRH Collection which is owned by a lovely girl named Alexandra and she sells the most gorgeous one of a kind pieces of jewellery! If you read my blog often I think by now you all know my love for costume type jewellery, so I just wanted to share my good find!

I recently ordered the La Lumiere Bracelet in Gold which is so me! I just love the chunkiness of it and the jewel in the middle is gorgeous. I ordered the extra chain to make it extra chunky =)

New Nails

Got these done today! I always swore to my myself that I wouldn't get Acrylic/Gel nails again because they just make it too hard to get my contacts out every night...however, after seeing these on my cousin in a green I just thought why not I'll try and get use to them! I chose a light pink and silver glitter to be applied over the tips and I really like them :) I haven't had long nails in such a long time and I've already had my first accident. I sliced my thumb down the side trying to open the packaging of one of my new Revlon Lipstains earlier (Review to come!) Ouch!

Juicy Couture has come a long way in the last few years! I used to associate the iconic brand with the 'Juicy' butt splattered velour tracksuits but they seem to have all grown up and become classier whilst holding on to their girly touch. Update: New Camera, A Holiday & Christmas Time!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in with all of you...I am disgusted in myself for the length of time I have left my blog :/ ! Since I got back from Melbourne I went right into my exams for semester 2 and thank goodness I passed all with flying colours! I am the biggest worrier/stress head when it comes to tests and exams so I am so glad they are over till next year!

Literally right after my last exam I went and bought myself a Canon 500D...it is the most amazing camera! I've been trying to practice with it with all the different settings and I must say it makes it so easy to take brilliant pictures. I am really excited to start using it for the blog!

An hour after getting the camera, random flower shot. Still getting used to it!

Me and the boyfriend have officially booked our trip to LA and NYC we leave 7th February and return the 25th February...right before my 21st Birthday! We are so beyond excited...me especially, all I can think about is all the shopping!!! Oh and of course the sight seeing :P

Melbourne for the Weekend!

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share what I got up to on the weekend...We went to Melbourne! It was so last minute and very unlike us because we decided two days before we went that we were going. I was a bit hesitant about going at first because I've just started a new job and didn't want to make a bad impression but in the end I thought if there is someone to cover then who cares live life while you can, work is only work! I'm so glad we went, my boyfriend has been to Melbourne many times for work but it was my first time.

For us, we tend to travel more internationally rather than domestically. We feel like it isn't a holiday if we don't get out the country but it was so nice to just get away for a bit and I have to say...I LOVED Melbourne. I was surprised...I hardly bought anything! I got some new eyeshadows from Mac and Fluidline in Blacktrack also from Mac, plus a trench and dress you can see below from Forever New, one of my favourite stores here in Australia.

We stayed at the Sofitel and it was amazing! Our room was just so nice with the most amazing views, plus it was close to everything.

Le Tan Products: A Review

If you saw my post here about my love for Palmer's fake tan, then I gather you know how picky I am about tanning products. I have always been a bit funny about trying 'real' tanning products, anything that is not in a moisturiser form, because I have had too many to count bad tanning situations. The product either came out too streaky the next day, too orange or smelled too bad and the last few years it has put me off trying anything new besides St Tropez.

Rachal from Fashion Fantabulous wrote in my Palmer's post about Le Tan in Le Can and after my friend started raving about it too I decided to give it a go! I kinda love it...

My friend uses the Le Tan in Le Can for her face and her body however I don't feel comfortable spraying my entire body with the can because I've had a bad experience before and it goes everywhere! I decided to just get the mini can and I would try it out on my face first to see how I go and I got the mousse for my body.

Le Tan in Le Can

What I love about this product is that it colours you right away and really does dry immediately. I did find it was hard to spray and get an even tan so I just rubbed it in as soon as I had sprayed it to make sure it was all even. The mist is really fine, which is what I loved about it because it didn't clog my pores, especially because I was using it on my face.

Instant Bronzing Mousse

I felt really comfortable using this because I had full control over how much I rubbed into my body and I knew exactly where the colour was going. All fake tans have some sort of smell when they are drying but this honestly isn't bad at all, it sort of has a caramel smell to it. It dried really quickly and best of all....It lasts for an entire week + !!! A lot of fake tans claim to last a 5-7 days and never do, well this does. And I shower every day obviously. It lasts a lot longer than St Tropez and when it fades off it does so evenly which really shocked me because it is really cheap.

Overall I was really impressed with these from the Le Tan range. I applied both at night time and slept in it until a good 9 hours later and then I went for a shower to get the smell off me. I was so surprised because usually you see a good amount of colour come off in the shower and literally nothing came off! I don't know what the secret is but I definitely recommend these. The Le Can version is a couple more dollars than the mousse but they both were only around $12 for the full versions.

So if your looking for a new tanning product and want one on the cheap then definitely try these out!

I couldn't resist these three items when I saw them. The first two I have been looking at for awhile but always resisted because I'm meant to be saving for our holiday...but then out of no where I saw them on sale...with an additional 50% off! OMG I love when that happens!! They only had three left so I was lucky I was able to get my size in both.

I love, love, love, love this jacket! It is so cute on and it's really lightweight so I will be able to wear it this spring and not get too hot. I just love the ruching on the sides, very flattering for the arms.

Nail Polish: My Chihuahua Bites!

Hi guys!!! I've missed blogging...I've finally got a minute to breathe amongst all my assignments...8 down now only 4 to go, 1 test and 2 exams.. phew! I am so beyond excited about the uni break, this semester has been my toughest yet with the amount of stuff I've had to do. Me and the boyfriend are thinking about taking a quick trip to Melbourne for a couple of days after my exams to get away for a bit! We are still going to NYC and LA in February but we both can't wait that long for a holiday so when we get a free weekend we'll just go then!

So I decided to treat myself to a manicure/pedicure yesterday for getting all these assignments done and I chose OPI "My Chihuahua Bites". Since the start of spring this is the first bright polish I have worn. The weather is getting hotter, the sun is getting brighter so I thought I better start getting into the swing of things.

I have a few blog posts coming up, a new review on a tanning product I've been using and a few summery purchases! So stay tuned...

Just a few purchases this week lovelies! Wedges, Nail Polish and Mini Shopaholic ♥

These are my most exciting purchase of the past week! I have been looking for the LONGEST time for a pair of cute wedges. I am over the cork look and when I saw these today in Zu I said to myself that I have to have them. They will go with everything! I got them for $130

I got these on Sunday in one of our big department stores, Myer. I couldn't believe it when I saw them in their little stand out of the blue. I was like a kid in a candy store! My American readers would probably not understand my huge excitement over these Essie nail polishes, but these have took SO long to get here! They were selling them for $18.95 so I just got the two and got a free top coat :)

Okay let me start of by saying I am so sad I have finished this! I done a post on this book a couple of weeks ago about how excited I was about its release and how I love the Shopaholic series. It is a very easy to read book but I just love the main character Becky Bloomwood! Have you ever read a book and identified with the protagonist so much that you know in real life you would be BFF?! Out of all the books I've read... Becky would be mine! A must read if you've liked the books before. I've even turned my Mum onto them and she loves them now too.

One of my dreams in life is to eventually own an amazing closet. I am talking about an entire room dedicated to my most prized possessions, my clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery. I don't know about you guys but I get so much enjoyment looking at breathtaking wardrobes, dreaming one day it will be mine!

My Favourite Books

Yay it's Friday! I thought I would share my favourite books I have at the moment in my room. I don't know about you, but I am SO excited about the new Mini Shopaholic book by Sophie Kinsella that is being released in Australia on September 1st 2010! As you can see I have every book in the series because I just love her writing. There is a little Becky Bloomwood in most of us, but personally I just loved how I could relate to her with the way she thinks and how she can justify any purchase. I laughed throughout the entire series because she honestly just reminds me of myself!

A few of my other books: L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad, The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell, 'Bringing Home the Birkin' by Michael Tonello

If I was to recommend one book it would definitely be the bottom one in the stack, 'Bringing Home the Birkin'. It is such an easy read that I stayed up till 2:30am one night finishing it. I won't give anything away but it completely opened up my eyes to the world of Hermes! A must read!

Here are a few of my fashion type books that I love

Top-Bottom: Who What Wear by Hillary Kerr & Katherine Power, That Extra Half an Inch by Victoria Beckham, Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe, Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual by Bobbi Brown, Chanel: Collections and Creations by Danielle Bott, Sex and the City by Amy Sohn .

As you can see Victoria Beckham's book is well worn and same with Rachel Zoe's. I have read these front-back back-front. I really love all of these books because not only do they provide useful tips but I just love looking at the pictures, especially the Chanel one ♥

I also have a Paris Vogue magazine in my collection that I decided to get while I was in Paris in December 2009. I just thought what better place to buy Vogue than Paris on the Champs-Élysées! It is so different from the Australian/British/American ones...much prettier pictures!

My Jewellery Collection/Organisation

This post is really picture heavy but I hope you will all enjoy it! I have massive amounts of costume jewellery...I am a true believer that jewellery like this can truly dress up an entire outfit with such ease and their not even that expensive! I buy most of my jewellery from Equip and also Diva...I'm pretty sure both are only available in Australia. I regularly have to go through and organise all my jewellery because it gets messy so easily because I have a lot and continue to buy more...! In the future I want to have those built in draws where I can store all my jewellery but in the meantime this is how I deal with it!

All my long necklaces! I hang this board on the front of my wardrobe door and I'm pretty sure if I hang anymore on it, it's going to fall down. I have woke up so many times with this loud thud and then realise when I turn the light on that everything is on the floor. I would hang it on the back of my wardrobe so you wouldn't constantly see it but I have belts/scarfs hanging on the back.

My bangle tree! My friend got me this from Ikea I believe...I had a quick look online and couldn't find it but check in store! I don't think it was over $10...it holds pretty much all my bangles and is so sturdy, I love it!

My Mum got me this jewellery box a couple of months ago and I just love all the compartments. She got it from Homeart and I think it was only $40. As you can see it opens up at the sides and I hang my more delicate necklaces on the hooks.

When you open up the lid there is slots for your earrings. For some reason I always lose one earring...it is so annoying! I always keep the spare in case I find the other...

Next up my rings! I love the little compartments they have for these, they hold a lot too.

In the bottom draw I hold all my snake/panther bracelets. I am OBSESSED with anything snake/panther!!! My absolute favourite is the one in the back with the green eye...I am always wearing it!

I've been seeing this type of post floating about various blogs lately and thought it would be fun to do! I loving seeing what other girls pack in their handbags...so here is mine! I got this Louis about 4 months ago...I absolutely love the Damier print. It's the Damier Azur in size MM and is perfect for me. I tried on the size bigger and it just was massive...and trust me my stuff gets lost in this one and it's the medium size! This is what I usually have in my handbag day to day plus a water bottle and maybe some type of muesli bar or almonds to eat while I'm on the go!

What I've Been Buying...

Hi everyone!!! I had this past Saturday off for the first time in a very long time so I decided to make the most of it! After I voted for our new Prime Minister I was so eager that I went straight to the shops for 9am. I was planning to spend big but only really spent $100 (for these four!) because I could just not find anything I liked. Isn't that always the way, when you aren't looking for anything you find so much stuff and when your planning to spend you find nothing?! Here is what I got!

This colour is so in at the moment I love it!! The gold studs totally made me want it and the best bit...It was reduced to $39.99 from $79.95. It's from Dotti...

One of my friends (Hi Caitlyn!) had leggings like these and when I first saw them I was like OMG they are so cool!! I found the studded leggings out of the blue in Supre for $35 and the black jeans for $25! Total bargains! I wear leggings so much, they make short dresses work appropriate. I have owned these exact jeans about 4 times, I love them their the perfect jeans for me. I have bought good brand jeans before and honestly these fit me so much better...but they do fade quickly.

This romper is a true bargain story. I swear I do not just buy sale clothes! So I was in Myer (which if your unfamiliar with is one of our big department stores) and saw this on the 50% off the original price rack from a far. I was drawn to the colour and the big bow and saw that it would work out to be $25 with the 50% off, although the original price was $100! However, when I checked the size it was 2 sizes too big but when I tried it on I knew my Mum would be able to alter it to fit. It is SO cute on I am so excited to wear it when it gets into Spring! Oh and best part...I had a $20 rewards gift card so I only paid $5 for it...!

And then these!

I have said for the longest time that I would never wear these because I just didn't think they were me... But this semester my classes are so far apart and I'm fed up wearing ballet flats that give me blisters because I've worn them all day...so I got these Converse's! I have seen a few girls at uni wearing them and with the right things they can look cute...I think the pink ones are more me but the black will go with more! I looked everywhere for these here in Perth but no one has them...so I went online and ended up getting the pink on sale for $59.95 :) I really hope I like them IRL...Review to come!

Last but not least...I didn't buy these but my boyfriend did. He is always flying for work and while he was away he got me this Jo Malone bath oil in Dark Amber & Ginger Lily and this cute little monkey that him and his work mates got for staying at one of the new hotels. So sweet... I have the best boyfriend!!!

Randomness: What I've been up to

I haven't been posting much lately because to be honest I haven't been handling my time very well. This semester I am at uni 4 days a week which sucks because I usually like to pack my classes all onto 2 days and get them out of the way, however this time it just wasn't possible with my timetable. Besides working and going to uni I have just been spending time with my boyfriend, seeing my best friend off to Europe (for 7 whole weeks :( !! ), going to friends for dinner and doing homework!

I am just going to ramble from here on so if you just want to skip to the pictures go ahead! This semester I am doing all marketing units which I thought would be good because it kept everything on the same page but I'm missing the variety of having the PR and advertising. I have been investigating places where I could possibly try and get work experience lately because with the type of jobs I want to go after, I'll need all the experience I can get, plus it's good to put theory into practice!

My boyfriend and I have officially decided that we are going to Los Angeles from February 8th - 19th! I am SO excited. I am such a nerd and have already made an itinerary of every day we are there. I have so many things I want to see! I know it's only a short trip but since we are only going to visit LA we have plenty of time to see everything. It just means we have plenty of trips to follow so we can see the rest of America! I haven't been buying much lately partly due to this because I want to save as much as I can so I can go ahead and buy whatever I want. I am so excited to having so much choice to choose from!

So here is just some randomness of what I have been doing...

Hi everyone! I got this hat while I was in Sydney at Forever New...I just fell in love with the bow at the back it is so cute! It has been sitting on top of a vase in my room since May because I just didn't know what to wear it with. This is my nail polish for the week! I got it a couple of days ago and wasn't expecting much since it was only $7.95. It's by an Australian brand called Australis and it applied so well! It isn't as good as OPI (it comes out really thin) but after 2 coats I am totally loving the colour + so far no chips!

FYI: I applied OPI "Rapridry TopCoat" once I had applied the nail polish to give it extra shine!

I thought it would be fun to show you my perfume collection I currently have! Along with the clothes in my closet this is something that is constantly growing in size in my house. I love having a new scent and am never one to just stick to the same scent everyday because I get bored with it. I do have my a few that I use frequently though...

Lolita Lempicka: (front row gold leaves) This is probably my absolute favourite! I'm onto my 2nd round of this and think I will continue to buy it for as long as they keep selling it. It has such a nice musky scent with a hint of vanilla and really does smell like no other perfume.

Burberry "The Beat": (2nd row silver cap) I have been wearing this perfume for the longest time. My Mum bought me this years ago for Christmas and I receive so many compliments on it when I'm wearing it.

Christina Aguilera: (both bottles) Both these perfume's my boyfriend has bought me and they instantly remind me of him! I always wear these when I want a fresh fruity smell, they instantly put me in a good mood!

Marc Jacobs "Lola": (back row) I received this for Christmas 2009 and not only does it have the cutest packaging but it smells so good! It is really hard to describe the smell but I'm assuming you all aware of it!

These are probably my most used perfume's out of all of them. Even though I have only mentioned a few, there is some that instantly remind of certain places. For instance the Lolita Lempicka reminds me of Paris because I wore it everyday while I was there, the Miss Dior Cherie reminds me of Scotland because I wore it everyday while I was there and lastly the Vera Wang reminds me of Christmas 2009 because I wore it that day :) I love how a scent creates memories like that...it makes me happy ♥

Parker Wrap Dress: Review

Hi guys! Last week I posted about the massive Shopbop sale that was happening with the extra 20% off sale items. I had posted so many cute things that I loved and was planning to get but as soon as I had finished the post and clicked on my cart nearly all of my stuff had sold out in my size! I just ended up getting this Parker wrap dress which is still available if you like it. I was having a hard time deciding if I should get the XS or S because I was worried about the length and heard Parker ran big. Anyway I went with the small thinking it's better being too big rather than too small and now that I have received it I'm wishing I had picked the smaller size.

You probably won't be able to see in the photos clearly but I have actually had to pin inside the dress so it cinches it in more around my waist and also around the chest area. The length is perfect however around the chest area it is so deep. The arm area is also quite big but I still love it anyway. I know your probably thinking why wouldn't I return it and get the XS since it is still available, but the fact is it takes so long (the whole exchange process) and it would cost me more to send it back etc etc...and plus I'm impatient about that stuff lol :)

Please excuse the red patches around my knees I had been kneeling on the floor prior :)

I really love the print in real life! I think it could be worn year round and also with tights and a blazer for when it is more chilly. When I have time I will go get the bits altered that are bugging me but overall I think it was a nice purchase.

How I Spent My Saturday Night...

My Choice of Tan

Even though I live in Australia which is known for it's beaches and the sunshine, I burn like a tomato. Honestly I have never been able to tan. I have to put on sunscreen every single day in the Summer because if I don't the sun gets to me and I get more freckles! Since I have gotten a little older (and maybe a little wiser) I have just come to realise the fact that my skin will never be able to tan so there is no point scorching myself and risking getting skin cancer. I have been using fake tan for the longest time and have tried the good, the bad and the ugly. I have two though that I have been using in rotation for about 3 years. One is a gradual tan, Palmer's Natural Bronze Tanning Lotion, and the other is the St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse

This is honestly my favourite! I was never a fan of gradual tan because I hated how you had to apply it every day and build the tan up, such a waste of time! But with this, you honestly apply it once and the next day you have the most perfect natural tan. I will admit, it doesn't come out extremely dark but it is dark enough for me. In terms of the smell, the cocoa butter hides that burnt coffee smell that comes off most fake tans which I love about it. I feel it also lasts so much longer than other tans I have tried and when you apply moisturiser daily it fades off so evenly. I absolutely LOVE this product. I go through so many bottles!

Just a reminder though, with every tanning product it is so important to exfoliate before hand and make sure you are well moisturised, it doesn't work well on dry skin. Make sure you apply moisturiser around the hairline, eyebrows, ankles, knees and the elbows + make sure you thoroughly wash your hands! You can also buy the face version which I also use because it isn't as oily. I highly recommend this product!

St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse: (Click here!)

I used to use this all the time, it most definitely develops into a St. Tropez tan! I will admit though I haven't used this in a couple of months just because I feel the Palmer's is much less messier. The mousse comes out as dark brown and it instantly browns your skin + your hands (which is why you should wear those dentist style gloves). Their is a definite smell I will admit but the next day the colour is unbelievable, it honestly makes you look like you've been on holiday for 2 weeks. This is much pricier than the Palmers as well but I still love it for when I want a dark tan!

I hope you got some use out of this! I have told so many people of the Palmer's Gradual Tan as well as the St. Tropez because they both look so natural on and have been complimented many times when I've applied them.

Do you guys have any other recommendations for fake tans? I'm always up for trying new things!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Today was my nephew Liam's 5th birthday and luckily I had the day off so I was able to go to his party. He had a clown there as the entertainment and it was so cute seeing all the kids get so excited! These jeans I am wearing are my staple jeans...I put them on when I don't want to think about what I should wear because they go with everything. I LOVE this cardigan I am wearing. I got it while I was in the UK at H&M and it is just so soft and pretty. My top consists of my favourite things, ruffles and studs. I literally buy any piece of clothing that has ruffles on it...love! Oh and I forgot my Louis...I only got him about 3 months ago. I took him along today too!
